Charles Xavier was the first to think of the Institute. He, along with many close others, created its own walls, building it up from nothing. The scenery is both lovely and dangerous to those who do not frequent the lands. In the event of an attack, there are several defense mechanisms built into the walls, as well as the students and faculty themselves. The school is home to over two hundred students and over twenty staff members. Everyone attending the school, whether for work or an education, must stay within the school property. There are dorms designated to both males and females, only faculty members are allowed to sleep in co-ed dormitories. Meals are served at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is up to the student or teacher if they miss their own meals, but students will never be forced to skip a meal. There are various training areas among the grounds for all kinds of things a student may interact with. Extra curricular activities are allowed and encouraged, as long as it does not bring any bodily harm to students or faculty. Classes are taught by mutants themselves, and students will have little to no interaction with pure humans. Each student will go through very many studies in their time here. They will learn about mutant genetics, abilities, strengths and weaknesses. But they will also learn from the history and present of humans. It is important for our students to be well-rounded and knowledgeable in their quests to become strapping and intelligent adults. It is often common for students to graduate and find themselves a position as a teacher, as long as their academics came first. Relationships between teachers and students is strictly prohibited. If any teachers are caught mingling privately or seeking romantic relations with a student, they could be forced to resign their position and leave the campus. Students are allowed to have their own personal devices such as: cellphones, laptops, computers, gaming systems, and whatever else their growing minds will need. During the seasons of Winter and Summer, students and faculty are allowed to leave the grounds to visit family or explore outside of school. Though it is suggested that if students are not returning home, that they stay on campus. In the event that a student does find themselves in trouble, it is encouraged for them to contact the Administration of the school immediately. For any questions, comments or concerns, please speak with the Official or any of the faculty. LOCATION: Westchester County, NEW YORK |
